Monarch Butterflies are probaly the most prevelant butterfly in New Zealand. We all love to have a swan plant in our gardens to nurture and watch the egss hatch into caterpillars, wraps themselves in a cocoon and magically escape to a beautiful creature. Monarchs also eat nectar from flowers and this monarch definitely found a feast in this tree!
