I fell in love with macro photography when I found this muscle shell. It was at Brown’s Bay Beach in Auckland. Sitting like a butterfly in amongst the crushed shells. I looked closer and it was definitely no bigger than 1cm. Fully open and a complete two sides, the mixed blues surrounded by the black edges. Minute beauty, clear and visible to the naked eye.
