The most special and spiritual places I have ever visited. I have see the cape many times in summer and in bright sunshine. The most special time I was there was officially starting the Electric Vehicles Road trip. We stayed at Waitiki Landing and before dawn we headed to Cape Reinga – to be welcomed by the local Iwi and the sun. No tourists were there that morning – only us and the spirits.
This photo wasn’t taken at dawn this was another special trip in my Mini Cooper – exploring to find a wedding venue. Alas, Cape Reinga wasn’t suitable but I did get to use my lens ball and avoid parallax error when taking a photo of the light house!
