The west coast of New Zealand is know for it’s black sand and surf beaches. Hokitika is no different. You will also find huge boulders piled with driftwood – carried in my the tide – some bits seemingly placed strategically. And when you find that perfect spot – the sunset, the beach, the wood all comes together to inspire another day.
