Snow in London usually happens for a few days in March. It hangs around for a little bit before melting and disappearing into the spring. One morning I was fascinated by the 30cm Icicles hanging from the guttering on the conservatory of the house. I looked over the garden and down to where there was a terracotta saucer with a few leaves of a plant trying to grow – forming a heart shape in amongst the snow. Around the saucer was snow which had melted enough to be a thin layer of ice. The right most sheet looking like the African Continent.

A rush inside for my camera, hurtle back downstairs to capture this image with seconds to spare before it melted, being gone forever!
