The seaside environment changes in so many ways. Shells don’t appear until they have finished their lifecycle, and are often broken up by the waves as the tide brings them to shore. I feel luck to have found this whole Tuangi Haruru Shell at long bay – the year was 2006, A beautiful sunny day and I was visiting NZ from the UK. It feels so long ago that time does feel an era ago and not in the same colours as today.
