Bumble bees have become my most favorite bug in my garden to photograph. They are predictable (in that they will land on a flower for a period of time) and also unpredictable. They fly off without speaking to air-trafic control and land on the next flower they can make out. They visit the same flower over and over – the weight of the pollen making it easy to steer in wonky directions – perhaps the pollen makes them drunk or lopsided with ballast? Anyway, this was a wonky take off and I managed to capture it.
